ABOUTWhat is the Web Support Center?

What is the Web Support Center?

  • Is the Web Support Center a public institution?

No. The Web Support Center (WSC) is a private company registered under business registration number 376-75-00259. It is not a public institution or government agency, nor is it an affiliate or contracted agency of any Chamber of Commerce, and it does not represent or act on behalf of any Chamber of Commerce.

  • When was it founded?

It registered as an independent private company on 9 July 2020. Before that, in August 2018, it began operating as a participating company in the Bucheon Chamber of Commerce member website support programme. From August 2018 to June 2020 this was a record of participation, not a membership relationship.

  • What is your relationship with the Chamber of Commerce now?

There is currently no relationship of capital, equity, mandate or funding whatsoever with any Chamber of Commerce. We became independent after Chamber of Commerce and local authority budgets were cut off because of COVID-19 in 2020, and we now carry out our support policy with voluntary funds from the consortium member companies. With the Ulsan Chamber of Commerce we have a partnership agreement for supporting its member companies.

  • Who runs it?

The Director and CEO is Han Mun-gi. The consortium launched in 2018 with 14 specialist companies; 7 specialist companies take part today (Safemon Co., Ltd. · Nollaun Gisul Co., Ltd. · WEBSURI · Allthe Communication Co., Ltd. · Korea Enterprise Certification Inc. (KOCI) · WJM Studio · JJ Company).

  • What is your track record?

We have supported the production of some 4,000 websites in total and currently manage some 2,000 member companies. Production support is limited to 600 companies each year.

PRICEHow much does it cost?

How much does it cost?

  • How much is the member contribution?

It depends on your affiliation: tutoring academies KRW 250,000; Techno Park tenant companies and Bucheon Ssangyong Techno Park Phase 3 tenant companies KRW 350,000; Chamber of Commerce member companies KRW 550,000; member companies of associations working with the Web Support Center KRW 500,000; general companies and organisations KRW 650,000. All amounts are VAT excluded.

  • Who pays the rest beyond the member contribution?

The total production cost is worth around KRW 4 million, and the difference after the member contribution is borne by the consortium partner working with the Web Support Center.

  • How much is an association's own website?

A website for an association, organisation or cooperative itself is KRW 650,000, and that association's member companies pay KRW 500,000 (VAT excluded).

  • Why do hospitals need to discuss terms?

Hospitals and clinics start from KRW 650,000, but a hospital has 3 to 5 times the content of a typical website. Where there are many clinics or the site exceeds 50 pages, we proceed after discussing the terms.

  • Are there cases where extra costs arise?

Once you have used up all the pages provided for your support type, you will need to choose either ① upgrading your support type or ② an additional production fee of KRW 30,000 to KRW 50,000 per page. You can request remaining pages free of charge at any time.

WHATWhat do you build?

What do you build?

  • What is the standard package?

The standard package is a 4-language AI-optimised website and a 10-language blog on your own domain. Structured data (Schema.org), llms.txt, semantic coding, FAQ optimisation and Google Business Profile registration are all included.

  • Why 4 languages?

If your website exists only in Korean, it is not visible to global AI. The site detects the visitor's IP and automatically displays it in their own language — visitors from Japan see Japanese, and visitors from China see Chinese, instantly.

  • Why a blog on your own domain?

Naver blogs block AI crawlers entirely through robots.txt. However good your posts are, AI cannot read them. That is why the blog must sit within your own domain for AI to read and cite it.

  • How long does production take?

Usually 4 to 6 weeks once your materials are ready, depending on the number of pages and whether photography is involved. Once you submit an application, a member of staff will contact you within 1 business day.

  • How do I make an edit request?

If you submit it through the Center's member company edit support, it will be handled or answered within 24 hours on business days, barring any special issues. Edit requests: 032-323-8356.

  • How long is the free after-sales service period?

It is free for 1 year from the date initial production is completed. After that, the maintenance fee is KRW 10,000 a month (KRW 71,000 a year for tutoring academies), the contract renews automatically every year from the server set-up date, and costs and terms are announced 1 month before renewal.

  • In how many languages are the website and blog built?

As standard, a member company's website is built in 4 languages (Korean · English · Japanese · Chinese) and its own-domain blog in 10 languages. The blog has a default set of languages, and we change them to the languages you want on request. The websites of the Bucheon Techno Park Development Council and its 10 complexes are the exception and run in 10 languages.

  • What about the domain and the security certificate (SSL)?

You acquire the domain yourself, and the Center checks the renewal date and pays it on your behalf. SSL is mandatory from 2026. With Cafe24 hosting and a Cafe24 domain, there is a set-up fee of KRW 11,000 and no further annual cost (Korean-language domains excluded). For a domain acquired elsewhere, it is an initial set-up fee of KRW 60,000 + KRW 38,500 per year.

  • What happens to my data if the contract ends?

The Center backs up your website data and hands it over to you before closing. Your account and hosting are in your name from the start.

  • What does it take for AI to recommend my company?

AI goes through four stages: discovery (can the crawler read it?) → understanding (have you stated what your company is in structured data?) → citation (is there a sentence that matches the customer's actual question?) → recommendation (is the same fact confirmed repeatedly across several channels?). If any one stage is blocked, you will not be recommended.

  • Why does a website made beautiful in Photoshop not work?

When text is merged into an image, AI cannot read a single character of it. It may look fine to the human eye, but to AI it is a blank page. That is why content must always be kept as text.

  • How many places does AI recommend?

Usually 3 to 5. To win one of those places you must be not just a company AI knows but a company AI trusts, and trust is built through content that accumulates every week.

  • Can I see how AI currently describes my company?

Yes, you can. Apply for a free AI check and we will measure and show you how ChatGPT · Claude · Gemini · Perplexity · Naver AI Briefing actually answer.
