Frequently asked questions
How much does a website cost?
A package worth around KRW 4 million at market rates (a four-language AI-optimised website plus a ten-language blog on your own domain) is built for a member contribution of KRW 250,000–650,000 (VAT excluded), depending on your affiliation: KRW 250,000 for tutoring academies, KRW 350,000 for Techno Park and Ssangyong 3 tenants, KRW 500,000 for association member companies, KRW 550,000 for Chamber of Commerce member companies, and KRW 650,000 for general companies and organisations.
How is this price possible?
Any production cost beyond the member contribution is covered by the consortium partner running the programme with the Web Support Center. It is funded by the private consortium's own money, not by any government or local-authority budget, which is why support is limited to 600 companies a year. The Web Support Center is a private company registered under business registration number 376-75-00259.
Are there any costs beyond the member contribution?
None within the standard package. The separate costs are as follows. You register your domain yourself, and the center checks the renewal date and pays it on your behalf. For SSL, a Cafe24 domain on Cafe24 hosting costs a KRW 11,000 set-up fee with no further annual charge (Korean-character domains excluded); a domain registered elsewhere costs an initial KRW 60,000 set-up fee plus KRW 38,500 a year. Once all the pages included in your support type have been used, additional pages cost KRW 30,000–50,000 each.
What happens to the cost after one year?
You receive free after-sales support for one year from the date initial production is completed. After that, the maintenance fee is KRW 10,000 a month (KRW 71,000 a year for tutoring academies), and the contract renews automatically every year from the server set-up date. We announce the cost and terms one month before renewal.
Does adding languages cost more?
The standard package includes a four-language website (Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese) and a ten-language blog, so there is no extra charge per language within that range. On request, we can switch the blog languages to the ones you want.
