- If we cannot advertise results, what do we show?
- A document that explains the procedure. Article 23(2) of the Attorney-at-Law Act blocks falsehood, exaggeration, comparison and anything that raises unwarranted expectations about the outcome. It does not block writing down how a matter proceeds, what the deadlines are and which documents are needed. And that is exactly what an AI answer draws on. Every firm faces the same restriction, so whoever writes it first takes the seat.
- Does the same apply to administrative agents?
- Different statute, same conclusion. Article 22 of the Certified Administrative Agents Act prohibits advertising that misleads through falsehood, exaggeration or omission, and touting personal connections with officials. Setting out procedures, deadlines and required documents truthfully is not restricted. Where the procedure is the product — permits, immigration, administrative appeals — explanatory documents pay off most.
- If the law changes, does old content become a risk?
- Which is why we put the update date and the governing provision on the document itself, and split documents by matter type so an amendment touches only the affected one. With no way to tell what is current, AI takes whatever is most widespread — so a dated, sourced document wins the citation in the end.
- Does this help foreign clients?
- In this sector especially. Immigration, visas, investment and cross-border inheritance all bring clients who cannot read Korean. The four-language site serves visitors in their own language and links the addresses so machines can tell who each page is for.
- AI states our details incorrectly.
- Usually fixable. Your website, map apps and portal listings disagree. We line them up, find the mismatches, align everything to the website, and restate the values as LegalService and LocalBusiness so machines read the same facts.
- What does it cost?
- KRW 650,000 excluding VAT for law firms and administrative agents, 500,000 for members of an association we work with, and 350,000 inside the ten Bucheon Techno Park complexes. The support programme covers the rest of a build worth about KRW 4 million. A four-language website and a ten-language blog on your own domain are included, on the same terms for a new build or a rebuild. Where many practice areas push the page count up, we agree the figure in conversation. Only the SSL certificate is separate.
